Gracie Arlene Waynick Burgess passed away on February 2, 2024 at age 53.
Gracie Arlene Waynick Burgess was born in Humphreys County, Tennessee to Doris Ilene Hicks and Roy Grady Waynick.
She was a homemaker with a special joy in cooking for her family. Her enjoyment of arts and crafts taught her woodworking and how to build anything. She loved animals and took great pleasure in raising rabbits and chickens.
Gracie is survived by her husband Richard Burgess; children: Amber (Sean) Doss and Bryan (Rachel) Burgess; grandchildren: Corbin Doss, Landen Harp, Jacie Harp, Brinley Wood, Braxton Wood, and Katilynn Spain; siblings: Terrie Clayton, Joyce Waynick, Roy “Rocky” Waynick; nieces and nephews: JD Clayton, Robert Fanning, and Brandi Kunch; and canine companion: Athena.
She is preceded in death by parents Doris and Roy Waynick, mother-in-law Nina Rose Burgess, and brother-in-law Danny Clayton.
