Mr. David Loren Gordon, age 77 of Lebanon, passed away Sunday, April 28, 2024, at Vanderbilt Wilson County Hospital.
Born October 13, 1946, David Loren Gordon is the son of the late Robert Loren Gordon and Nadine Jennings Gordon.
He was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University. He worked for the Panhandle Eastern Pipeline for twenty five years, before becoming a financial consultant for the last thirty three years working for Equitable/Waypoint. He was a very active member of Immanuel Baptist Church where he had served as a deacon, Sunday school teacher, and had served on numerous committees. He and his wife were chairpersons for the Wilson County Relay for Life for eighteen years. He enjoyed farming, wood working, and bee keeping.
He is survived by his wife of nearly fifty seven years, Vicki Truitt Gordon; two sons, Shannon Gordon and Steve (Pam) Gordon; daughter, Marcie (Danny) Kasic; grandchildren: Landon Gordon, Alex (Laura) Dozier, Ethan Gordon, Eva Mae Gordon, Kara Webster, and Lauren Webster; great-grandchildren: James Nelson Dozier and Novah Webster; sister, Judy (George) Ritchie and brother, Steven (Pam) Gordon.
A Celebration of Life Service for Mr. Dave Gordon will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 10, 2024, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Pastor Jeff Pratt officiating. Visitation will be at Immanuel on Thursday, May 9, 2024, from 3-7 PM and Friday 12 Noon until service. Honorary Pallbearers are Bill Bryson, Tony Helton, Tracey Hay, Johnny Davenport, Dallas Polley, Bruce Johnson, Bobby Thompson, Joe Gibson, and Mike Jones.
Memorials may be made to the Gideons or to Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund.
