Ernestine Winfree Buckner, age 80 of, Watertown passed away on Tuesday evening Dec. 26, 2023 at her residence.
Born Aug. 10, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Ernie and Minnie Belle Russell Winfree and was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan “Buck” Buckner, a daughter, Jackie Davis, son-in-law, Rick Hillis and her brother, Jackie Winfree.
Ernestine was a 1961 graduate of Watertown High School and a member of the Watertown Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by her children, Tammy Hillis, Annette (Steve) Dedmon, Valerie (Zac Griffith) Williams and Kenny (Michelle) Taylor; 7 grandchildren, Leslie, Shelby, Craig, Tyler, Brey, Hannah and Mattie; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren; her faithful furry friend, Buddy and special friends, Iva Nell Granstaff, Betty Judkins, Emily Nix, Brandy Byrd and Paulette Dorris.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 29, 2023 at the Watertown Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Rev. Rodger McCann and Rev. Ted Bane officiating. Visitation 2-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and 10 a.m. till service time Friday at the church. Pallbearers, Steve Dedmon, Jay Tubbs, Tyler Smith, Zac Griffith, Brey Dedmon, Hayden Gwaltney.
