May 14, 2024 – Around 1:30 Tuesday morning, several officers responded to the area of Legends Drive after hearing multiple gunshots.
Within seconds, officers arrived on scene and began rendering aid to a single victim with a gunshot wound to the foot in the parking lot of Legends Sports Grill. Witnesses quickly provided officers with a vehicle description and the direction of travel of the suspect. Responding officers began canvassing the area and made contact with a vehicle matching the description on Cainsville Road at Railroad Drive.
The driver, Tristan Cook, 35, was found to be in possession of multiple fire arms and was arrested without incident. Cook is facing several charges, including multiple counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
