Lebanon Police Dept. Announces Promotion of Emmanuel Berger to Detective

The Lebanon Police Department has announced the promotion of Emmanuel Berger to Detective.

Emmanuel was born and raised in Saint Charles, Illinois. He graduated Saint Charles East High School in 2001. After High School Emmanuel joined the United States Navy where he served from 2001-2006 as a diver and marine mammal handler. He went on to attend San Diego Mesa College and later Northern Illinois University in pursuit of a degree in sociology.

He began his law enforcement career with the Glen Ellyn Police Department in 2008 where he completed their state academy that same year. He continued to serve there until 2020 when he moved to the middle Tennessee region to serve with the Metro Nashville Police Department. While there he completed their lateral police academy.

He began service with the Lebanon Police Department in 2021. He has served as a Police Officer, Motor Officer, Field Training Officer, Crash Reconstructionist, and Emergency Vehicle Operations (EVO) instructor during his time with the department. During his previous service with the Glen Ellyn Police Department, he served as a Field Training Officer, Taser Instructor, Defensive Tactics Instructor, Evidence Technician Photographer, Crash Reconstructionist, and Honor Guard member.
