A Lebanon man was arrested on multiple drug charges after a police K-9 helped officers find an assortment of suspected narcotics during a traffic stop.
The Lebanon Police Department said an officer stopped a red Ford sedan after seeing it repeatedly fail to maintain its lane. During the stop, the officer identified a rear-seat passenger as 47-year-old Derek Neal of Lebanon, who had prior drug-related convictions.
K-9 Falco and his handler responded to the scene and conducted an open-air sniff around the vehicle. After the K-9 alerted to the presence of narcotics, officers searched the vehicle and found a bag on the rear floorboard containing several suspected drugs.
According to police, the bag contained suspected methamphetamine, crack cocaine, powdered cocaine, Xanax, marijuana, a THC vape and two different colored substances that both tested positive for fentanyl.
Neal was taken into custody without incident and booked on multiple drug-related charges.
