A new freestanding emergency department is coming to Wilson County after Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas broke ground on the project along Highway 109 last month.
The facility, called Highpoint Health Wilson County ER with Ascension Saint Thomas, is designed to provide emergency care closer to home for residents in central and western Wilson County. It will be located at 3940 TN-109, Lebanon, TN.
The freestanding emergency department will operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provide the same level of care as a hospital emergency room. The facility will treat serious illnesses and injuries and will include six treatment rooms, CT imaging, digital X-ray, ultrasound, on-site laboratory services and rooms dedicated to trauma and behavioral health patients.
According to Highpoint Health, the emergency department will be the closest ER for more than 37,000 current residents and is expected to serve a rapidly growing area along the Highway 109 corridor.
