Mt. Juliet Police reported that officers responded to WA Wright Elementary after a call came in about a vehicle stolen with a child inside.
Police quickly located both the car and the child at their home. After reviewing school video, investigators learned there was no theft — the 10-year-old got into the driver’s seat after the parent went inside the school and drove the vehicle home.
No injuries were reported, and officers said the incident was resolved safely.
