Lebanon Police say a SafeNet alert helped officers quickly locate a stolen vehicle outside the Home Depot earlier this week, leading to the arrest of three people on multiple charges.
Officers identified the driver as Nicholas Booher of Byrdstown and learned both the vehicle and its license plate had been stolen. Police say Booher had also taken items from the store and was wanted on several outstanding warrants, including forced entry out of Putnam County, a probation violation out of DeKalb County, and failure to appear out of Rutherford County. He was taken into custody without incident.
Two passengers, Matthew Degroat of Cookeville and Jessie Murphy of Baxter, were also arrested after officers found suspected methamphetamine inside the vehicle.
Police credited both officers and technology in helping bring the case to a quick resolution.
