Robbie Jean Sanford age 84 of the Norene Community, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2026 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro. Born May 1, 1942 in Springfield, TN, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Monroe Carroll and Geneva Webster Carrol. Robbie was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Douglas Sanford in 2012; her daughter, Robin Tice and son, Jerry “Bubba” Cohea and grandson, Carry Ladd. She was also preceded by a brother, Jerry Carroll and sister, Polly Lewis.
Robbie is survived by her children, Debra (Richard) Frazier of Mt. Juliet, Terry (Betsy) Cohea of Murfreesboro and April Cohea of Covington, GA; her daughter’s children, Jessica Tice and Justin (Megan) Tice and 6 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson.
Our mom loved to cook and go shopping especially for the holidays when family got together. A Mothers Love is a gift that never leaves us. It lives on in the lessons she taught us and the love she gave us. She meant so much to all of us, we can find comfort in the beautiful memories we all have shared. Our mother had a heart of gold. Her beautiful smile and loving heart will be missed.
Funeral services will be held at Noon Saturday, Aug. 8, 2026 at Hunter Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 3-8 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. till service time on Saturday. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Norene.
