Darcus Neace, age 90, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, formerly of Laurel County, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on August 1, 2026, at the home of her daughter.
She was born to the late Kelly Young and Dicey (Ritchie) Young in Knott County, Kentucky. Darcus was united in marriage to the love of her life, Chandler David Neace, who preceded her in death.
She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted daughter, Gwendolyn Clancy (Ed Sullivan) of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee; her beloved granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Trokas (Ken) of Denver, Colorado; her treasured great-grandson, Chandler David Trokas of Denver, Colorado; her brother, Bruce Young of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; her faithful grand-dog, Lil’ Ditty; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will greatly miss her.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Homer Young, Harlan Young, Truman Young, Willard Young, Dosha Mae Smith, Vernie Young, and John Charles Young.
Darcus found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved coloring with her colored pencils, creating beautiful embroidery, shopping, and spending time watching her favorite television shows. She will be remembered for the love she shared with her family and the many cherished memories she leaves behind.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, beginning at 12:00 p.m. at London Funeral Home, 879 South Main Street, London, Kentucky 40741.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, at London Funeral Home with Gary Kirby officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Salem Cemetery in London, Kentucky.
