OBITUARY: John Roy ‘Johnny’ Dedman

John Roy “Johnny” Dedman age 70 of Mt. Juliet passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.

He was preceded in death by parents, Sidney Roy and Mary Josephine Dedman; nephew, Michael Sidney Dalton Dedman; and life long friend Stacy Lawson.

He is survived by brother, Mike (Carla) Dedman; sister, Connie (Mike) Watkins; brother, Randy (Mitzi) Dedman of Lebanon, TN; nieces and nephews, Kellie (Scott) Porter, Matthew (Tracey) Dedman, Kristie (Jarrod) Buhler, Melanie (fiance, Stetson Holder) Dedman, Maegan (Anthony) O’Neal, Ethan Dedman, Minchey Dedman, Dustin (Doralyn) Liddell, Drew (Miya) Langford, and Amanda Langford; great nieces and nephews, Zach and Aiden Dedman, Brayson and Bronx Buhler, Mollee Dedman, Cliffton and Kinley Porter, Makaleigh O’Neal, Levi and Sadie Holder; Keddrick Connors, Carlie and Tillie Liddell, as well as Charlie and Lance Langford; and lifelong friends, Bill Rainey and Danny Gaskey; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Johnny loved Tennessee Titans football, Bluegrass music and spending time with his family and friends. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. He also loved being employed with the IRS as an Information Technology Specialist for almost 30 years.

Visitation will be held at Partlow Funeral Chapel on Saturday, September 28, 2024 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. with funeral services to begin at 1 p.m. Bro. Mike Shelby will officiate. Interment will follow in the Wilson County Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Matt, Ethan, Minchey, Zach, and Aiden Dedman, Jarrod, Brayson, and Bronx Buhler, Scott and Cliffton Porter, Anthony O’Neal, Stetson Holder and Brandon Lokey.

Honorary Pallbearers are Stanley Walker, John Coleman, Bill Rainey and Danny Gaskey.
