Former Lebanon Mayor Bernie Ash passed away on Saturday, September 30th.
Mr. Ash served a long and storied career as a faithful public servant to this community as a County Commissioner, City Councilman, Veterans Administrator, and Mayor of Lebanon.
Mr. Ash also served in the United States Armed Forces with the US Air Force where he was stationed at Harrison Township, Michigan until being sent to Phu Cat, Vietnam from 1969-1970.
“Thank you for your service to this great country and to the citizens of Wilson County. Please continue to keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time,” Wilson County Sheriff’s Office stated.
