As preparations begin for the upcoming school year, Wilson County Schools is looking to hire bus drivers for the 2026-27 academic year, with summer training opportunities available for new applicants.
District officials said drivers are needed for various routes, with both part-time and full-time positions available. Those interested in only morning or afternoon shifts are also encouraged to apply.
Starting pay for first-time drivers is listed at $22.38 per hour, with higher pay available for applicants with previous experience.
The district said teachers and staff members interested in driving are also encouraged to connect with the transportation department to discuss flexible scheduling options.
