Lebanon police officers used their SafeNet system to track down a Hyundai Sonata reported stolen out of Nashville earlier Wednesday. The vehicle was located at Walmart, where officers attempted a traffic stop before the driver fled.
A short pursuit continued onto I-40 West, ending safely near the I-840 interchange when officers were able to bring the vehicle to a stop. Both occupants were detained, and officers learned the driver and passenger were juveniles. The driver, a 14-year-old, faces several pending charges.
Police credited the quick work of D-Shift officers and noted the incident ended without injuries.
