Tony Taylor, age 79, of Lebanon TN, passed away on March 25, 2025.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Brother Danny Sellars and Rob Hosier, is 2 p.m. Monday, March 31, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Interment in Cedar Grove Cemetery will follow the service.
Pallbearers: Cole Relford, Jacob Brown, Chris Hodges, Tab Kirkland, Chuck Gore, Jeff Brown, Ayden Bentley, and Justin Givens.
Honorary Pallbearers: Dean Simms, Ed Lanius, Dave Meloon, Jim Leftwich, Rob Hosier, and John Bradley.
The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-6 p.m. and on Monday from noon until the service at 2 p.m.
Kenneth Anthony “Tony” Taylor was born in Lebanon TN to Ruth Buchanan Taylor and Kenneth Taylor. He accepted Christ at an early age and attended First Baptist Church most of his life and later was a member of Fairview Baptist Church.
He attended Castle Heights Military Academy where he was a competitive diver, finishing 11th in the nation. He graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
In 1990, he and his partners established HTK Wealth Management. Tony served in the Air National Guard for 6 years. Tony was a member of the Chamber of Commerce. He was an avid water-skier and would beg his kids or anyone of age that could see over the steering wheel to pull him through the slalom course, sometimes before work.
Tony is survived by his wife of 45 years, Laura Brent Taylor; sister: Cindy Foster; children and grandchildren Jill Relford, Kimberly Taylor, Jacob (Kaylee) Brown, Carly Brown and Summer (Tim) Garcia, Rosekay Arnold, Cole Relford, Ayden Bentley, Justin Givens, Adegrace Taylor, Jase James, Jack Taylor, and Gabriella Garcia; in-laws: Warren (Jana) Brent, Lisa (Mark) Duke, and Craig Nelius; and nieces and nephews: Janet Curlin, Charity Warner, Jessica (Jeff) DeLuca, Greg (Nina) Brent, Alayna Brent, Allie Brent, Noah Brent, Abbey (Corey) Jones, Matthew (Megan) Henley, Barton (Jenna) Henley, Hannah (Chris) Sublett, Will (Katie) Duke, Jackson Nelius, Garrett (Sydni) Nelius, Grace Nelius, and Taylor Curlin; 27 great nieces and nephews, all known and loved to them as “Ton-Ton”.
He is preceded in death by parents Ruth and Kenneth Taylor, sister Susan Taylor, brother-in-law Gary Mac Foster, granddaughter Savannah Relford; and Tim and Caryl Henley, and Leslie Nelius.
The family extends their special thanks to Tony’s caregivers, Candelaria Jose’ Andres and Judy Lewis and to all of his dear friends, especially the late Tim Denny and Bob Lowe, that afforded him many memorable life experiences.
