Thelma Atwood Tubb age 99 of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday morning, April 23, 2025 at Covenant Methodist Medical Center in Oak Ridge, TN. Born in Brush Creek, TN, she was the daughter of the late Lon and Alma Smith Atwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Brown Tubb in 1993; a daughter, Rebecca Joy Rickard; grandson, Joshua Thomas Patterson; sisters, Ruth Agee and Margie Floyd; and her brothers, Lonnie Atwood and Robert Atwood.
Thelma is survived by her children, Richard Brown Tubb of Philadelphia, Joe Randall Tubb (Marilyn Duncan) of Wartburg and Jan Tubb Roberson (Tom) of Asheville, NC; grandchildren, Bradley (Diana) Patterson, Alan (Molly) Rickard, Erin Rickard, Erev Tubb and Florine Tubb; several great grandchildren; sisters, Lucille Lewis of Alexandria and Jodean Vantrease of Gallatin; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2025 at Hunter Funeral Home with Rev. Tim Diffenderfer officiating. Visitation will be from Noon till service time on Sunday. Interment will follow at Hillview Cemetery in Alexandria.
