Robert Lee ‘Bob’ Mummert, age 66, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Bob was born in York, PA and was the son of the late, Edward Mummert and Diva Lorraine Adams Mummert.
He was a member of Cooks United Methodist Church. From a very young age, Bob knew he wanted to be a musician. Bob relocated to Nashville and lived out his dream as a drummer. He had worked with many artists, including, Roy Orbison, Dailey and Vincent, Ricky Skaggs, Trace Adkins, Reba McEntire, Jimmy Fortune, Foster and Lloyd, Gail Davies and Sweethearts of the Rodeo.
He enjoyed gardening, working outside and grilling. Bob was an avid Titans fan, a gun collector and above all a patriot who loved his country.
He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law, Densel Alvey.
He is survived by:
Wife of 39 years – Lisa Alvey Mummert
Children – Hannah (Grant) Brasher and Sam (Elle) Mummert
Siblings – Deborah Burkholder and Edward (Mary Jo) Mummert
Grandchildren – Kayden Lane Mummert, Karson Lee Mummert and Madelyn Joy Brasher

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 31, 2023 at Cooks United Methodist Church, 7919 Lebanon Road, Mt. Juliet, TN with Pastor Craig Goff and Pastor Sandra Clay officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens. Active pallbearers will be Mark Redditt, Mark Cashman, Jackson Redditt, Patrick Cashman, Kent Jones and Aaron Smith. Honorary pallbearers will be Dailey and Vincent band members.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or Tunnel to Towers.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.
