Patricia “Pat” Anderson passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 83. Carolyn Patricia Anderson was born in Russellville, Alabama, to Effie Irene and William Earl Moore. Pat grew up in Muscle Shoals and graduated from Tuscumbia High School. She went on to earn her radiology degree at the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga and her MRI degree at the University of Tennessee-Memphis before beginning a long and fulfilling career in radiology.
Pat married the love of her life, Ronald Anderson, and together they built a beautiful life filled with partnership, purpose, and devotion. They later welcomed their daughter, Gwen, whom Pat loved deeply. Pat spent more than 40 years serving in the Radiology Department at Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, where she was known for her dedication, kindness, and steady presence.
She cherished simple joys – tending to her garden, caring for her yard, and filling her home with warmth and love. Most of all, Pat treasured her family.
Pat is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Ron Anderson; daughter, Gwen Gill; granddaughter, Amanda Summer Ottinger; and great-grandson Anderson Kyle Ottinger. She is preceded in death by her parents Effie and Earl Moore, and her brother Don Raymond Moore.
A Graveside Service will be held at Oak Cemetery in Selmer, Tennessee, on December 20, 2025, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, Vanderbilt Medical Center, or the Ronald McDonald House.
