Dave Gilliam passed away on December 3, 2025 at age 56. The Funeral Service, conducted by Pastor David Calhoun, is 7 p.m. Monday, December 8, 2025, in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. The family will be receiving friends at the funeral home on Monday from 3 p.m. until the service at 7 p.m.
David Wayne Gilliam was born in Terre Haute IN to Mary and Donald Gilliam. He grew up in Detroit and was always a fan of the Detroit Lions no matter where life took him. Dave used his interest in helping others by being the one to administer first aid and medical advice at any sign of trouble.
When Dave moved to Lebanon in 2000, he met and married his love, Heather Ferrell, and together they made a great life and raised four children. He volunteered at WEMA for a while. Dave worked many jobs throughout his life but his favorite was working in the supply chain for Vanderbilt. Cooking was his passion and he even took classes at culinary school. Dave expressed his love for his family through food and spending time with them. He also loved old cars and collecting cards.
Dave is survived by his wife of 23 years, Heather Gilliam, children Angelina Gilliam, Colby Gilliam, Sierra Gilliam, and Sebastian Gilliam, sisters Julie Clements and Zoe Stavrou, and several beloved nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Mary and Donald Gilliam and grandmother Pervie Gilliam.
