Mrs. Margaret Ann Jones Kinniard, age 76 of Smyrna, a native of Sparta, passed away at 4:35am on Thursday, April 2, 2026 at Select Specialty Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.
Margaret was born March 16, 1950 in Sparta, Tennessee. She was a retired office worker and caterer. She enjoyed all crafts including crocheting, working with flower arrangements and sewing. She was a member of LaVergne Church of God and Hillview Community Church. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Eddie Lee Kinniard who died October 30, 2014; mother Willie Jo Rutherford Jones Potts; father James Erwin Jones and sister Mary Charlene Jones.
Surviving family members include her brother James E. “Jim” Jones of Smyrna
Sister: Wanda Jones of Murfreesboro
Brother: Eugene Jones of Smyrna
Many loved nieces, nephews and cousins
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00pm Monday, April 6, 2026 from the Chapel of Hunter Funeral Home with burial in Kinniard Cemetery. The family will receive friends after 11:00am Monday at Hunter Funeral Home. Walter Merritt will officiate.
Robert Johnson, Anthony Rutherford, James Johnson, Darryl Johnson, Steve Rollins and John Johnson will serve the family as pallbearers.
