Mrs. Josephine Farmer Morgan, age 89 of Hartsville and formerly of Lebanon passed away Sunday, September 15, 2024, at Hartsville Health & Rehab.
Born September 25, 1934, in Smith County, she is the daughter of the late Stanton F. and Linnie Mae Mofield Farmer.
She was a homemaker, having worked at Lebanon Garment Company, and retiring from Texas Boot. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Lebanon for seventy years. She loved cooking for her family and enjoyed getting together with her family. She loved entering her canning at the Wilson County Fair where she won numerous blue ribbons. She also loved traveling with the Lebanon Senior Citizens Center, and enjoyed going to the prayer group at the Hartsville Senior Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Roy Farmer, Erma Denny, Floyd Farmer, Norma Jean Farmer, and Doyle Farmer.
She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy & Sandi Morgan and Michael & Danita Morgan; 4 grandchildren: Malia Grace Morgan, Christopher Michael Morgan, Brandi Morgan, and Maylea Morgan; 6 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Wayne (Vicky) Farmer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service for Mrs. Josephine Farmer Morgan will be at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Rebecca Dixon and Rev. David Hesson officiating. Interment at Wilson County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Tuesday 4-8 PM at Ligon & Bobo Funeral Home and Wednesday after 11 AM at First United Methodist Church.
