Joe Newman, age 76 of Lebanon passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2024 at his residence.
He was preceded in death by parents, James Grover and Alice Marie Newman; son, Joey Newman; stepdaughter, Shawna Jennings; infant brother, Jerry David Newman; brother, John “J.G.” (Brenda) Newman; brothers-in-law, Raymond Neely, Terry Smith, Eddie Greer, Mark Greer and Eddie McCrary; and nephew, Josh Smith.
He is survived by wife of 35 years, Pat Newman; daughter Jo Leia Donnese Osborne; sister, Judy McCrary; brother-in-law, Wesley (Pam) Neely; sister-in-law, Teresa Smith; step-son, Michael Beadle; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; his special friends, Tony Dunsavage, Allen Funderburke and Jed Leep and a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends.
Mr. Newman was a graduate of Walter Hill High School and a member of the Ministry Center. He was an Air Force Veteran and a Civil Engineer for the Corp of Engineers. After his retirement, he worked for Lowe’s for 18 years. Above all, he loved the Lord. He also enjoyed fishing and home improvement projects around the house. He had a zest for life, touching the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Partlow Funeral Chapel from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. with the funeral service and military honors to follow at 6 p.m. Bro. Drew Eastes will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Ministry Center Church of God, 1007 Hartsville Pike, Lebanon, TN 37087 in Joe’s memory.
