Janis Wilson, age 82 of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 28th, 2025.
The Funeral Service, conducted by Gene Hannah, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet, on Thursday, May 1st, 2025 at 12:00 p.m.
Interment will follow in Mt. Juliet Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Thursday, May 1st from 11:00 a.m. until time of service.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jimmie Lee Wilson; parents, Howard and Ida Wayman; sister, Barbara Sullivan Cutshaw.
Janis is survived by loving daughters, Teresa (Herschel) Morrisette and Jennifer Buttrey.
She gained 2 wonderful children by marriage, Craig (Lisa) Wilson and Tiffany Temple.
In addition, she leaves behind her grandchildren, Jamie Farough, Amber Hunter, Justin Buttrey, Sara (Josh) Sutherland, Josh Buttrey, and Presley Ogaz, as well as 9 additional grandchildren she gained through marriage.
Together, Janis and Jimmie shared 7 great-grandchildren, whom they adored.
Family was at the center of her world and she will always be remembered for her love of nature, gardening, and animals.
