The vivacious life of Jackie Tayler came to an earthly end on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026. She slipped away peacefully at the age of 67.
The Celebration of Life Service will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Saturday, June 20th, 2026, at 01:00 p.m. The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 20th from 10:00 a.m. until time of service.
Leaving behind to cherish her memory are her son, Curtis Beekley; her sister, Jennifer (Joe) Wallace; and her nephew, Taylor (Shannon) Wallace. She was preceded in death by her parents, B.J. and Kathy Taylor.
For more than twenty years, Jackie dedicated her professional life to caring for others as a Registered Nurse in the research department at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Nursing was more than a profession to Jackie- it was a calling. Throughout her career, she touched countless lives through her gentle spirit, tireless work ethic, and genuine concern for those around her. Her colleagues became much more than coworkers; they became family. She cherished the friendships, support, and camaraderie she found within her Vanderbilt work family and spoke often of the joy and fulfillment they brought to her life.
Jackie was truly the world’s greatest party host. If there was a reason to gather, celebrate, or simply enjoy the company of friends, she was the one making it unforgettable. A passionate entertainer with a gift for bringing people together, Jackie found joy in welcoming others into her home and knew how to throw a party whether preparing a delicious meal, sharing stories around the table, or carefully crafting her mother’s famous brownie recipe. She made every guest feel special and every occasion meaningful that left everyone smiling, laughing, and already looking forward to the next invitation. Her warmth, generosity, and attention to detail transformed ordinary moments into cherished memories.
Blessed with countless friends, Jackie built meaningful connections wherever she went. People were naturally drawn to her kindness, humor, and welcoming spirit. To know Jackie was to feel valued, included, and loved.
Jackie had a deep love for all things French- the culture, cuisine, décor, and timeless elegance that inspired so much of her life. She brought that appreciation into everything she did, creating beautiful spaces, memorable meals, and experiences that reflected her unique style and passion.
More than anything, Jackie left a mark on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. The laughter shared, the meals enjoyed, the friendships nurtured, and the memories created will live on in the hearts of family and friends for years to come. Her legacy is one of joy, generosity, and a life beautifully lived.
