It is with great sadness we tell you of the passing of Jack Darrell “Poppy” McCarter. A kind, quiet, humble man that loved the Lord first, then his wife, and family. He never complained, and took what came to him with calmness and the faith that God would take care of him. A stoic man of faith.
He is pre-deceased by his parents, Ozie and Ruby McCarter, brothers, Robert and Raymond, and sister Doris.
He is survived by his loving, dedicated wife, Audrey. His son, Joey, and daughter, Tanya who he was very proud of. Grandchildren, Audrianna. Eli and Bella, who brought him great joy and called him “Poppy”. He is also survived by his precious sister, Dixie Morgan, who he dearly loved.
Jack was a member of Mt Juliet Church of Christ. Visitation will be on Friday, April 26, from 4-6 pm. The memorial service will be done by Brian LeMasters. and Craig Evans.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the youth group at Mt Juliet Church of Christ, 1940 N. Mt Juliet Rd, Mt Juliet, TN, 37122.
