Fay was employed at Bell South, now AT&T, and worked as an engineering clerk until her retirement in 1996. She attended the First Baptist Church in Old Hickory for several years. Tetaw was a simple lady and was as loving as they come. Her hobbies were reading books and working on crossword puzzles.
Fay’s family was the most important thing to her. Her role as a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother was something she deeply cherished. Traveling with her sister created some of the fondest memories for her. Tetaw will be remembered for her love for George Straight, Walker Texas Ranger, and The Golden Girls. Her giving soul will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
In lieu of flowers, the family requested memorial contributions be made in Fay’s honor to the Alzheimer’s Association: www.alz.org.
