Dwight Nelson Vaughn, age 74, of Mount Juliet, Tennessee passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022 at his residence.
He was born on July 21, 1948 to the late Hershel and Vola (Thompson) Vaughn.
He enjoyed going to Nascar races with his brothers. He had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed seeing God’s creation. He cherished his family and the life that he was blessed with.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his siblings, Ann Tinnin, Alton Vaughn, Faye Barnett, Eunita Lee, and Martha Cummings.
He is survived by his son, Dwayne Butler; daughter, Shandi Vaughn Cripps; grandchild, Bradley Wade Butler; siblings, Lois Dowless, Barbara Ricker, Glen Vaughn, Dale Vaughn, and Loretta Thomas. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Sellars Funeral Home at Mount Juliet. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 1, 2022 from 10:00 am until the time of service at 2:00 pm at the funeral home. Interment will follow in the Mount Juliet Memorial Gardens.
