Nancy Belle Allen, age 77 of Lebanon, passed away on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at her home with ALIVE Hospice and her family and friends by her side.
Born Oct. 27, 1946 in Wilson County, she was the daughter of the late Bill Hallums and Cornelia Boston Hallums and was preceded in death by her sisters, Vissie Hudson and Minnette Nettles; brother, Charles Hallums; nephew, Mark Hallums and niece Miranda Trevathan. Her longtime pet and companion, Winston, passed away on Wednesday shortly after her death.
She was survived by her husband of 34 years, George E. Allen; her son, Michael Travis VanHook and his wife, Antoinette; granddaughters, Emily Larrimore (Matthew) and Mikayla VanHook; grandson, Caleb VanHook; brother, Tom Hallums and his wife, Gertrude; sister, Lillian Plumlee and her husband, Dallas; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanne and Ray Fleischer; lifelong friends, Kathy Ross and Lori Hughes; many nieces and nephews and her pet cats, Patches and Peekaboo.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, April 26, 2024 at Hunter Funeral Home in Watertown with Bro. Doug Collins officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time on Friday. Pallbearers, Caleb VanHook, Darin Plumlee, Scott Fleischer, Alex McCutchen, Timothy and Zachary Kamer. Interment will follow at Wilson Co. Memorial Park in Lebanon. https://www.hunterfuneral.com

George and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I loved Nancy so much and her family. I just found out I have Cancer and have been in the hospital. So sorry I could not come to show my respects.
