On November 21, 2023, Courtney Mary (Shadowens) Gleaves, of Mt, Juliet, sadly passed away after losing a health battle, at 40 years old.
Courtney was born in Nashville, TN on October 18, 1983.
She graduated from Smyrna High School in 2002. Courtney married Dale in 2006 after a whirlwind romance. While Courtney pursued many career opportunities, her top “job” was being a Mom to her three children, which was the hardest but most rewarding job of all. Family was Courtney’s top priority. Courtney overcame many health issues throughout her life and was always a fighter till the end.
Courtney was preceded in death by her grandparents (Kenneth and Patricia Shaver; Drema and Jerry Shadowens); and her father (Keith Shadowens)
Courtney is survived by her husband of 17 years Dale Gleaves; their children Zachary, Knox and Bella; mother Linda Shadowens; siblings Trisha Shadowens (Brandon Neff); Josh Shadowens (Michael Bromley); and numerous family and friends.
We are so grateful for the time, laughter, and love we’ve shared with Courtney. Visitation was held this Saturday, November 25th from 11 AM -2 PM. at Sellars Funeral Home of Mt. Juliet.
