Carl James Simmons crossed over on Monday, November 27, 2023 at age 70.
He blessed others with his many gifts, mainly art. He was an RIT, Rochester Institute of Technology, graduate with a Bachelor in product and graphic design. He taught art at Nossi College of Art and Design and RIT. He thoroughly loved art; he could translate any thought through it. He was an inventor, a tinkerer, and a product and graphic designer.
When he wasn’t taking the boys to and from ball games and practice, he made sure they had the best science projects for school. He organized an art show at church for two years. He designed golf equipment for Datrek and worked for Fisher Price and GraCo designing children’s toys and products for growth and development. He was Editor of the Buffalo City Mission newsletter which won a National award.
Carl James Simmons was born in Rochester NY. He met and married Carol Dalgleish and together they raised 4 sons. They lived most of their lives in Nolensville TN and recently moved to Lebanon TN. He was a member of Tusculum Church of Christ.
Carl is survived by his wife and partner of 36 years, Carol Simmons and their sons Jordan (Katia) Simmons, Joshua Simmons, Jeremiah (Sara) Simmons, and John Gabriel Simmons.
He is preceded in death by his parents Bertha and Milo Simmons.
