Anne Mallory (McAdams) Howell of Lebanon, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on July 3, 2024, at the age of 73.
Born on April 4, 1951, to Herman Val McAdams and Ruby Anne (Cheairs) McAdams in West Point, Mississippi, she was a graduate of Columbia Central High School (Tennessee) and Middle Tennessee State University.
She met her husband in history class during high school and they had their first date on December 1, 1967. They married on September 8, 1973, and celebrated 50 years of marriage last year.
A teacher at Saint Joseph School in Nashville, Tennessee by profession, she became a homemaker in 1979 to focus on raising her three sons. She was an avid tennis player, hobby jewelry maker, and loved to travel – especially to Pawley’s Island, South Carolina.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Herman Val and Ruby Anne McAdams.
She is survived by her three brothers, Herman Val McAdams Jr. (Lexa Stewart), William David McAdams (Jan), and John Lee McAdams (Patsy), her husband Kenneth C. Howell, her sons Adam Graham Howell (Nina Antoshchenko), John William Cheairs Howell (David J. Flores), and Paul O’Neal Howell (Meagan), and her grandchildren, Nealy Carol Howell and Fisher McAdams Howell (Paul and Meagan).
Reception of friends and loved ones will be at First United Methodist Church in Lebanon, Tennessee on Saturday, July 13, 2024, from 9 am to Noon with a service immediately following. Honorary pallbearers include Candy and Steve Snyder, Barbara and Mike Johnson, Jane and John Nickoloff, Marsha and Jim Powell, Janice and Hubert Moore, and the ladies’ tennis groups at the former Donelson Y and Nashboro Village.
