Established in 2016 by Martha Brown, Nature’s Market is a specialty grocery store in White House, Tennessee. They offer lots of local farm products, specialty grocery items, supplements, beauty and cosmetics items, personal care, gifts and other natural products to promote wellness. This holiday season, check it out to spread health and wellness to loved ones.

Although the outside of the store is non-descript, inside Brown has created a calm, relaxing and healthy oasis complete with a competent and knowledgeable staff.

“Martha is always so calming, positive and helpful,” said one customer. “I am so thankful she listened to the Lord and opened her store!”

A lot of favorite spices and other foods have been brought in for the holidays. This includes Schrock Family Farm Bakery pies and breads. They offer multiple flavors of pie and bread including pumpkin, pecan banana, Tennessee fudge zucchini, Cherry Kentucky Butter, Apple, Blackberry, and Blueberry. Abigail Schrock uses commercially canned pumpkin pie filling, but the sweet potato and blackberry pies and breads are made of produce from the family farm. She also makes sourdough bread.

The store carries foods from many middle Tennessee farms. Caney Fork, which does carbon farming, supplies beef and lamb. Carbon Farming is using sustainable agriculture and land management practices that remove carbon from the atmosphere at a higher rate than conventional practices.

Eco Garden in Smyrna provides the store with fresh vegetables, CSA boxes, as well as sauerkraut and salsa. Other produce comes from Farmer Andrew’s Garden and many others. Maid-N-Meadows cheese from Kentucky can also be found in their cooler.

Nature’s Market carries their own line of “grab and go” items, including turkey chili, pimento goat cheese, chicken salad, buffalo chicken salad, wraps, salads and snacks. All items are made with organic ingredients.

Want to make your own fermented foods? Nature’s Market carries a fermentation starter kit. They also have immunity start-up kits from Natural Factors, Matcha teas, and Om mushroom superfood coffee, hot chocolate and miso soup blends.

They also provide a number of services and classes. Dr. Linda Gibson has visited to explain the benefits of lymphatic therapy, April Wilson has taught yoga classes, they have had painting classes, and holistic iridologist Robin Carey provides sessions. “Iridology is the study of the patterns and colors on the iris of the eye to determine information about a patient’s overall health,” according to optometrists.com.

Lots of great gifts can be found here, including Nativity sets, bath salts, stovetop simmer kits, wood ornaments and more from OWEN DOES. Owen is a young man with special needs who makes and sells these items with the help of his mother. It all started with his homeschooling sessions about business skills. Nature’s Market also has salt lamps and natural floral arrangements.

“I love that we have a local market [where] we can get everything from essential oils and supplements to local farm milk, eggs and meats,” said another customer. “Such a delightful atmosphere! Great farm fresh produce, [and they are] knowledgeable and informative about products. Owner, Martha, is so helpful and friendly. If there is something she doesn’t have, she will research it and get it for her customers. Such a gem in White House!”
