Nashville Man Arrested in Hit-and-Run Crash in Mt. Juliet

A 36-year-old Nashville man was arrested less than two hours after allegedly causing a crash and fleeing the scene Sunday morning on Golden Bear Gateway in Mt. Juliet.

According to the Mt. Juliet Police Department, the driver made an unlawful turn and struck another vehicle before leaving the scene.

Police said the victim was able to quickly take a photo of the suspect’s vehicle and license plate before he drove away, giving investigators a key lead. Officers identified the suspect and contacted the Metro Nashville Police Department, whose officers located the man at his home and took him into custody.

He was later transferred to Mt. Juliet Police and booked into the Wilson County Jail.

According to police, the suspect told officers he fled the crash because he did not have a valid driver’s license.
