Mayor Rick Bell Proclaims Oct. 3rd as Colton Dowell Day

On Tuesday at the City Council meeting, Lebanon Mayor Rick Bell proclaimed October 3rd, to be Colton Dowell Day in Lebanon.

Colton, a native of Lebanon, made his NFL debut for the Titans last Sunday with a win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

Colton graduated from Wilson Central High School. He is the son of Tracy Dowell and former Lebanon fire chief, Chris Dowell.

He went on to play for the Chattanooga Mocs, before transferring to the UT Skyhawks where he was named to the HERO Sports Sophomore All-American team, Seconded-Team All-Conference and First-Team All-Ohio Valley Conference.

Colton later became UT Martin’s all-time leader in receiving yards.

This year, Colton was selected in the seventh round, 228th overall in the draft by the Tennessee Titans.

“We look forward to watching Colton’s career flourish, and we’re excited for the opportunity he has to represent the city of Lebanon,” Lebanon Police Department stated
