NASHVILLE – What a Monday it was at the Tennessee Education Lottery’s headquarters office in Nashville! April 18, 2022, was bustling with lucky winners claiming their prizes, including two million-dollar instant-ticket winners and a $50,000 Powerball winner.

Meanwhile, no word from Tennessee’s $20 million Mega Millions jackpot winner, who won the big prize from Friday night’s drawing. Updates to come as additional information is available.

Highlights from Monday’s activity include:

–Factory worker LaRandall Beard of Lebanon won $1 million playing the instant-ticket game “Double Diamond Spectacular.” LaRandall claimed the prize accompanied by his sister and brother-in-law, and says he plans to begin some home improvements and invest his winnings.

The ticket was purchased at Discount Tobacco (outlet #721), 337 Baddour Pkwy., Lebanon.

–Loudon couple Angie and Roy Moats won $1 million playing the instant-ticket game “Win Big” … and win big they did! Roy explained they needed to wait a few days to claim the big prize due to his wife’s work schedule. “I held on to that ticket for dear life,” he said.

The Moats purchased the ticket at DP Market, 14934 Hwy. 72 North in Loudon.

With the addition of these two million-dollar wins, the tally for the number of Tennessee Lottery tickets worth $1 million or more now stands at 345.

–Hendersonville couple Barbie and Douglas “Eddie” Butler won $50,000 from the Powerball drawing held April 13, 2022. It’s not often that Eddie plays Lottery games, but he decided to purchase a ticket as a birthday present for Barbie. After the drawing, that present was worth more than they ever dreamed. “And I bought a Powerball ticket because the person in front of me bought one, and I thought it was a good idea,” Eddie said.

These highlights were just a few from yesterday’s activity. All told, Lottery players have won more than $17.5 million in prizes since inception in 2004.

Congrats to all!
