Lebanon Police Department Promotes Amber Phillips to Assistant Communications Supervisor

On Monday, Lebanon Police announced the promotion of Amber Phillips to Assistant Communications Supervisor.

Amber was born in Pascagoula, Mississippi and later moved to Lebanon, TN as a young child. She is a 2007 graduate of Lebanon High School. While in High School Amber served in the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office Explorer Program from her freshman through her senior year. She joined the U.S. Army in 2006 in the split/operation program which allowed her to attend and complete basic training between her junior and senior year. After completing basic training and graduating from High School she attended and completed Air Traffic Controller school. She went on to serve in the Army as an Air Traffic Controller until 2012 during which time she rose to the rank of Specialist.

Amber’s experience as an Air Traffic Controller served as an excellent foundation for her career with the Lebanon Police Department’s Communications division which began in 2013. During her time with the department, she has served as a Dispatcher and Communications Training Officer (CTO).

She has received numerous hours of training to include Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) training and certification. As a testament to her service, she received the Dispatcher of the Year award in 2022.
