Jenna Jones wanted to find an instructional dance academy that would train her children with proper technique, while also instilling important life leadership skills. When she couldn’t find one in her area that also honored the same ethics she wanted to teach her own children, she built her own – Belamour Ballet Dance Academy in Lebanon.
Training up to the semi-professional stage of classical dance to choreographing and running other dance studios, she has now established a new facility that will not only serve as a dance & leadership academy but will also be a positive representative to the community with its “give-back” programs to local citizens and non-profits in need.
The Grand Opening & Kick-Off Party will be held on July 1st at their new facility at 1411 West Main St in Lebanon from 11am – 4pm. The event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony with city officials, FREE curriculum preview classes, food, music, games, and giveaways. Also, Lebanon High School Marching Band will play as the festivities break open on Saturday, July 1st at 11am.
“It’s so cool!” says Director Ben Channell of the Lebanon High Marching Band. “Belamour Ballet was the first dance school or studio of any kind, in all my years, to have reached out to partner together to promote and benefit the performing arts and leadership in our local youth.”
Belamour has plans to start scholarships, special programs for foster students and spectrum challenged students, along with other ways to serve the community. With curriculum programs including professional classic technique teaching paired with leadership skills such as, integrity, diligence, and confidence, Jones has big dreams in impacting the culture of the local arts community. “Being a leader means serving those you lead, and teaching them how to serve. I am both excited and honored to be bringing this new leadership curriculum in dance to our city and to watch it bless our local community in such a powerful way!”
