The Lebanon Police Department has announced the return of its Bike Patrol, a program designed to strengthen community ties and improve safety in busy areas around the city.
Specially trained officers will use bicycles to increase visibility on the square, patrol local parks and walking trails, and provide added coverage during special events. The department says the initiative will help officers engage more directly with residents while enhancing security in high-foot-traffic areas.
Officials encourage community members to stop and say hello when they spot officers on bike patrol, noting they look forward to the stronger connections and safer environment this effort aims to create.
