Susanne Heron, age 84, passed away on May 15, 2025. The Funeral Service is 5 p.m. Thursday, May 22, 2025 in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home, Lebanon TN. Visitation at the funeral home on Thursday is from 4 p.m. until the service at 5 p.m. Burial will be in Des Plaines IL at a later date.
Susanne Kay Nester Heron was born in Woodstock IL to Clara Catherine Kennebeck Nester and Ervin August Nester. Susanne had a great curiosity about the world and how things worked. She was an avid reader, loved taking things apart and putting them back together, and enjoyed puzzles. Susanne also loved Bible study, horseback riding, playing organ, and singing in the choir at St. Frances Cabrini, where she was a member. She worked as Fleet Sales Manager for General Motors.
She is survived by her daughter Dawn (Greg) Johnson, grandchildren Dean (Megan) Johnson, Cheyanne Johnson, and Sierra Johnson, great-grandchildren Milah Crago, Emerson Johnson, and Jonah Johnson, sister Cheryl Adams, and nephew Tyler McClane. She is preceded in death by parents Clara and Ervin Nester and nephew Adam McClane.
