Donald Moss, better known as Don, was born on Sunday, December 10th, 1939 in Old Hickory, Tennessee and was received Home with great joy by our Heavenly Father on Saturday, September 21st, 2024 at the age of 84.

He is survived by loving wife of 65 years, Rosalyn Moss; children, Rebecca Woodard, Raymond (Kim) Moss, Donnie (Mary) Moss, Anthony (Tabatha) Moss, and Sam Moss; grandchildren, Hunter Woodard, Lauren Woodard, Shelby Woodard, Josh Moss, Nicole Moss, Angela Moss, Noble Thompson, Ray Thompson, Dawson Wooten, Makayla Moss, Matt Moss, Joseph Covington, Shay Moss, Katlin Moss, Joseph Moss, and Sydney Moss; sister, Billie Ann Ramsey; 12 great-grandchildren also survive.

He was preceded in death by parents; granddaughter, Samantha Moss; siblings, Willie Mae and Ramie.

Don met the love of his life, Rose at church in Nashville, Tennessee and the two have been together since they were 15 years old. They truly had a love like none other. Shortly after Don and Rose wed four years later, Donald enlisted in the United States Air Force and served our country for eight years, living in various cities and states before moving back closer to home in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee.

Beyond his professional life, Mr. Moss was a proud member of Living Springs Baptist Church in Mt. Juliet, Tennessee. He was a great father to his children and an even greater “Grandpa” and “Papa Don” to his grandbabies. Donald was an outdoorsman who enjoyed traveling, fishing, and camping. He will be sorely missed by his family and friends.

The Funeral Service, conducted by Mike Powell, will be held in the chapel of Sellars Funeral Home at Mt. Juliet on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 at 12:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service with Military Honors at Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, September 25th from 04:00 p.m. – 08:00 p.m. and on Thursday, September 26th from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 12:00 p.m.
