Mid-Cumberland Head Start

Since 1971, Mid-Cumberland Community Action Agency (MCCAA), a non-profit organization, has provided services to assist low-income children, families, individuals, and communities in middle Tennessee. MCCAA has become known throughout the community as a provider of staple services such as the USDFA Commodities program, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program, and Head Start. This Saturday, they will be having a food giveaway! Volunteers are always welcome and needed.

2. Tennessee Naturalist Program at Cedars State Park

Cedars of Lebanon State Park

The Tennessee Naturalist Program (TNP) is a non-profit education course designed to introduce the natural history of Tennessee to interested adults. Its mission is to teach all Tennesseans about our natural world, inspire the desire to learn more, instill an appreciation of responsible environmental stewardship, and channel volunteer efforts toward education of the general public and conservation of Tennessee’s natural resources. This Saturday’s session will be on Geology!

3. Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt/Live Easter Story

Get ready for Easter! Everyone is invited to join Hope Baptist Church for their 2nd Annual Glow in the Dark Easter Egg Hunt and Walk Thru the Easter Story event. Walk Thru the Story begins at 6:15pm and the Glow in the Dark Egg Hunt will start at approximately 7:15pm. They will have Joses’ Kitchen, Nash Kebab, and Kona Ice coming so plan on having dinner and a cup of Kona Ice!

This family fun event is suitable for most ages 6 and up. Family members are welcome to pay for an additional spot and paint with their children if desired, but children can also be dropped off if you do not wish to paint. Please arrive 10-15 minutes early to get smocked and in your seat. Parents, if you choose to stay, Painting with a Twist is a BYOB studio. Feel free and bring your own food and drinks!
