The soulful, singer-songwriter Kenny P, is originally from Cleveland, OH and now resides in Nashville TN. With his powerful vocals and his personal touch of funk, this southern-soul artist certainly brings the groove. His musical career kicked off at a young age, heavily inspired by family roots in a variety of musical genres. In interviews, he shares that his personal preference and musical inspiration comes from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Elton John, Amy Winehouse and the Allman Brothers. He truly enjoys listening to an array of musical styles. Kenny P shares that he is consistently inspired by the talents of bands such as Lake Street Dive, St. Paul and the Broken Bones and The Steeldrivers.

3Harvest Full Moon Hike

Join Park Ranger Bridgers at the Nature Center at 8:30pm to take a hike under the dark night sky as they witness the Harvest Full Moon in the crisp cool air as fall approaches. Let’s take a look at the constellations and let your night vision takeover. Please dress for the cool weather and bring flashlights (red lights preferred) and wear sturdy shoes. Donations are appreciated and welcomed. Donations will go towards maintenance and upkeep of the park. The hike will be canceled for inclement weather.

Get trees to plant in your yard or community this fall. These beautiful trees are available with a suggested per tree donation of $9.99-$29.99 per tree – comparing very favorably to similar trees you’d get from a nursery or online. Preference is given to those who reserve their trees in advance, but if you prefer you may come from 9:00am-11:00am this Saturday! You can select from available trees and pay on-site. This is a private farm – not a store – so please come on this date and time frame only.

5Folk n’ Bluegrass Fest

Join the staff of Rock Castle for an evening of incredible music and community-focused fun at this year’s Folk n’ Bluegrass Fest at Historic Rock Castle! Presented by Historic Rock Castle, Ultimate Party Super Store, and Half Batch Brewing, this year’s Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest will feature a private VIP experience and exclusive performances in the whimsical Rock Castle Woodlands from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. This is a limited seating musical experience immediately following the broader Folk ‘n Bluegrass Fest that includes heavy hors d’oeuvres (catered by Bit-O-Heaven), two craft brews from Half Batch Brewing, and private performances by Cordovas and the Theo & Brenna Band.
