2Old Timers Festival

The City of La Vergne is excited to announce the 2022 Old Timers Festival, to be held on Saturday, September 17 at Veterans Memorial Park. This year’s theme is “Serving Thru History.” Rick Autery will serve as the Grand Marshal at the parade. The parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. at La Vergne City Hall and end at Veterans Memorial Park. There will be live music, food, a petting zoo, pony rides, arts and craft vendors, civic vendors, and more!

Join Cragfont for a historical fashion show in Cragfont’s beautiful garden, enjoy afternoon tea with friends, and experience a special tour of Cragfont. During the fashion show, experience a historical fashion show focused on the fashions worn during the Winchester family’s ownership of Cragfont. Learn about the trends and fads that swept 19th century Middle Tennessee from fashion historian and Historic Castalian Springs Director, Tonya Staggs. The afternoon tea will allow guests to sit in the shade of Cragfont’s amazing garden and sip tea with friends. The afternoon tea will also consist of goodies and treats and a selection of teas. Please note that the afternoon tea consists of finger foods and is not a full meal. Finally, enjoy a special tour of Cragfont highlighting passages from Almira’s diary and the letters of Maria and Susan Winchester. See a number of pieces from the collection that are rarely on display. Fashion, tea, friends, and history make for a perfect Sunday afternoon!

Nashville Zoo’s premier annual fundraising event Sunset Safari, presented by UBS is this Saturday! Enjoy a wild night at the Zoo filled with food, drinks, live entertainment and animals galore. Guests can stroll through Zoo pathways as they sample appetizers, entrees, sweets, beverages and more from over 40 of Nashville’s favorite food and beverage purveyors. Animal encounters and music from Adam McDonough Band and Krystal King will accompany the culinary delights along the trail. Sunset Safari will kick off at 6:00 pm and the Zoo will close at 2:00pm!
