Friday, July 15 to Sunday, July 17, various times

11920 Lebanon Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN

Playhouse615

The evening includes a one act by Ellen Byron called “Graceland” and a performance by Elvis impersonator, Wess Aaron. The place is the front entrance of Graceland, the late Elvis Presley’s Memphis mansion, the time, five o’clock in the morning, three days before the estate is to be opened to the public. Two ardent Presley fans, Bev and Rootie, are camped out before the gates, each determined to be the first to enter the sacred space. Bev is a middle-aged lady with too much make-up and a brassy down-home style; Rootie is young, shy, and somewhat intimidated by the raucous Bev. Wary at first, the two soon progress from dispute to shared confidences and a growing compassion that, in the end, moves the essentially warm-hearted Bev to defer the place of honor to her waif-like and touchingly sincere rival.

Sunday, July 17, 10:30am

3581 Benders Ferry Rd, Mt. Juliet, TN

Cedar Creek Yacht Club

For 30+ years Tim Atwood played for music’s elite on the most venerable stage in country music history-The Grand Ole Opry. During that time Tim backed legends and legends-in-the-making including Garth Brooks, Taylor Swift, Carrie Underwood, Darius Rucker, Vince Gill, Merle Haggard, and Willie Nelson. Tim’s versatility on keys also allowed him the opportunity to play for those outside of the country box, performing with Barry Gibb, Keb Mo, Lisa Marie Presley and Jewel. Beyond the stage Tim continues to be a sought after studio musician in Nashville playing on recordings for some of those very artists with whom he shared the spotlight’s fringe–artists who include Dolly Parton, Ray Price, George Jones and Charley Pride. The audience can expect piano pounding thrills as Tim performs songs from piano greats Mickey Gilley, Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis, Elton John, Ronnie Milsap and Charlie Rich. Along with bouts of laughter as he dishes out backstage jokes and stories as only an insider can. With a musical arsenal that includes hundreds of selections, Tim can fire off a country song with ease, pull the trigger on a rock and roll favorite and reload with some back water blues. Tim always delivers a great performance. Tim Atwood will entertain you!
