Wilson County Schools will return Wednesday, January 24th on a two hour delay.
Kids Club will operate on their NORMAL SCHEDULE.
“Based on conditions that we have observed throughout the entire county today, they have significantly improved, but slushy ice patches on roadways are still visible in some parts of our area,” writes the district on Facebook.
“With overnight temperatures expected to remain well above freezing, and possibly some rain showers through the overnight as well, we feel that conditions will only continue to improve by the hour and the thaw process will remain steady. We also feel that the added commute time, compared to normal, will benefit many – especially our bus drivers.”
What the two hour delay means – if your bus pickup time is normally 6:30 AM, then it would be 8:30 AM. If you’re a car rider/student driver, and you normally arrive to your school at 8:15, then you would arrive at 10:15.
All opening bell schedules will begin two hours later than a normal school day.
Dismissal times will be normal for everyone.
