The Lebanon City Council recently approved the beginning of utility and right-of-way coordination efforts for intersection improvements at West Main Street and North Castle Heights Avenue.

The project includes roadway widening, sidewalk replacement, and drainage relocation to add left turn lanes in each direction on both West Main Street and Castle Heights Avenue. The improvements will also rebuild the traffic signal for a more standardized operation. The survey and engineering design work is underway.

Mayor Rick Bell says this project is a much-needed safety and traffic operations improvement and is one of the city’s priorities but is in its infancy state.
