June 22nd–26th was a busy week for three SRO Deputies as they geared up for the upcoming school year. They successfully completed the 40-Hour Basic School Resource Officer Course held at Henry Horton State Park in Chapel Hill, TN.

The training featured instructors from the Tennessee Law Enforcement Training Academy (TLETA), Department of Homeland Security, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), and TNSRO. Deputies received valuable instruction on the vital roles and responsibilities of an SRO—including legal issues, school safety, youth interaction, and current challenges faced in schools today.

Please join Wilson County Sheriff’s Office in congratulating School Resource Officers Sam Roller, Ashley Abernathy, and Buddy Rollins on this accomplishment and their continued commitment to keeping schools safe!
