Long-time WCSO Lieutenant Eddie Fitzpatrick recently passed away on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, according to his obituary.
Fitzpatrick graduated from Gordonsville High School in 1978. He attended the police academy after graduation and became a police officer where he worked in Alexandria, South Carthage, and Smithville.
He joined the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office in the 1990’s and was employed with the department for 32 years, serving the last 20 years as a lieutenant.
Eddie is survived by wife of 42 years, Sherry Bennett Fitzpatrick.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 17, 2023 at Christian Life Chapel, 105 Holloway Dr., Lebanon from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, August 18, 2023 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 11 a.m. until the service.
In lieu of the flowers the family request contributions be made to Good Hope Methodist Church in Eddie’s memory, c/o Vicki Smith, 1715 Orchard Dr., Lebanon, TN 37087.
