Thieves Target unlocked Cars in Providence Area Neighborhoods

Mt. Juliet, Tenn. – Thieves targeted unlocked cars in Providence Area neighborhoods overnight on Sunday, October 9, 2022, and two suspects were captured on surveillance video. One of the suspects was carrying a handgun in the process. The thieves were known to be on Pemberton Court, Stafford Dr, and Foster Lane in search of unlocked cars with items of value inside. When they discovered an unlocked car, it was ransacked as they searched for anything of value.



Two reports of theft were filed. An iPhone, jewelry, and wallet were stolen.

Residents are urged to remove all valuables from their cars and ensure doors are locked. Each of these crimes could have been prevented by simply locking the car. Also, homeowners are asked to check their outdoor surveillance video footage to see if any other suspects were caught on camera operating in the area.
